Old Business:

• Reviewed previous month’s minutes.

• Boat Show 02/09-12. Right now the State Parks and Recreation Department (SPRD) is having some management changes. The current management did not feel it was appropriate for the SPRD to share the booth with the dive club. They did however display some of our materials.

• Wade updated the members on the latest information from Ruby about Harvey Harris’ accident.

• Dirk checked on a plaque for Harvey. The cost of the plaque is $204 and is made from brass so it could be placed underwater without rusting. It was decided to do a free will money collection for the plaque. An email will be sent to all the club members.

Treasurer Report: $247.86 in our account.

New Business:

• We briefly discussed the upcoming events.

• Spring Gear Tune Up in March and April with Dan Kendall at Dive Magic.

• Antarctica Trip Report with Eric Rupal in May.

• June, July, August – local diving

Mike Reed gave a great presentation on diving in Australia. If any members of the club are headed to Australia check with Mike before you go because he will give you a list of places to go and dive sites to dive. Most of the dive sites Mike talked about were not the “tourist” dive sites which means they are not crowded.
